Weber, a leading provider of slicing, automation and packaging solutions, is pleased to announce the establishment of its subsidiary in Colombia with the beginning of July 2023. Weber expresses gratitude for the collaboration with Taussig S.A.S, the former distribution partner.
Weber has grown from a machine builder to a total solution provider in recent years and customers around the world are demanding complete line solutions. To address these changes, Weber offers not only individual machines but also complete and complex solutions. This approach requires dedicated specialists to ensure project excellence and customer satisfaction.
With the start of the Colombian subsidiary, Weber brings its global project management experience and capabilities directly to the Colombian market. The core values of the family-owned German company, like uncompromising quality, pioneering innovations, comprehensive engineering expertise as well as outstanding service will now be directly available to customers in Colombia. With this move Weber is strengthening its commitment to be closer to its customers.
A key focus of the subsidiary in Colombia is to improve service and customer support. With a team of professionals focused solely on customer service, Weber aims to guarantee high availability of its slicing and packaging lines. In addition, the company plans to offer comprehensive training programs to its customers, empowering them with in-depth knowledge of the machines. This will enable customers to reduce machine downtime effectively.
Another essential aspect of the Colombian subsidiary is the establishment of a larger stock of spare parts. Through the creation of a complete inventory, Weber aims to offer its clients in Colombia the security of having spare parts available.
Daniel Frank, CSO of Weber, is excited to expand the company’s global presence with the start of the subsidiary in Colombia: "The new subsidiary is a next step in our global expansion and coverage of Latin America with major Hubs in Chile, Mexico and Colombia. We are very happy that Matthias Bischoff takes on the role as Managing Director in Colombia after starting and running our LATAM subsidiary in Chile successfully for the last years.“
Matthias Bischoff, Managing Director of Weber Foodtechnology Colombia, also sees lot of potential in the South American market: “The Columbian market is a growing and important market in our core industries. Having Camilo Pedraza as Country Manager with vast experience in the Colombian market and the complete team on board, makes us ready to be at our customers from July 1st, 2023.
