Weber Food Technology in Wolfertschwenden.
For more than ten years, the Weber location in Wolfertschwenden in the Bavarian Allgäu Region has stood for thinking outside the box, being innovative and implementing clever product solutions. Founded and promoted under the name TEXTOR, the products of the former subsidiary laid the foundation for the international success of line solutions that going forward will continue under the Weber name. In the south of Germany, a true think tank developed that is characterized by agility and efficiency.
Since 2011, slicers (high-performance slicing machines) for cheese and sausage have been the main product manufactured in Wolfertschwenden on around 8,000 square meters of state-of-the-art office and production space. The former start-up quickly turned into an important development and production site for the Weber Group. With experience and passion almost 100 employees work daily on perfect slicing solutions for the food processing industry. Over the past eleven years, the product portfolio has been continuously developed and supplemented by digital products. Customers from southern Germany, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland in particular appreciate the local proximity and the new showroom in Wolfertschwenden. From initial purchase to machine installation, a designated point of contact provides intimate and personal customer service to ensure that no questions remain unanswered.
"We owe our success to a great extent to our committed and effective team."
The slicers that are manufactured in Wolfertschwenden (weSLICE 7500 and weSLICE 7000) are characterized by their high performance, simple operation and unique, open design. Here, the focus lies on functionality and resource conservation. Fewer base functions are omitted in order to maximize simplicity and user-friendliness. Needless to say that the slicers manufactured here have optional add on equipment such as Interleaver, SmartLoader, or SprayTech. In particular, the integration of the newly developed wePRESS - a highly efficient bacon press for product preparation - ensures faster product processing while requiring up to 40% less energy than other conventional presses.
Thus far, more than 500 slicers have been manufactured at the Weber site in the Bavarian Allgäu Region and have been exported worldwide. Thanks to the Weber Group's high in-house production quota of 80% , almost all the necessary components come from its own production sites. Thanks to the "True Integration" concept, every slicer can be easily integrated into a Weber complete line. From the product scanner in Braunschweig to the blades in Groß Nemerow and the packaging machine in Werther, all individual line components are premium quality "Made in Germany".
